After consulting the experts at at the Audi A2 owner’s club, I have disconnected the tracking device hidden under the passenger side floor.
It looked more complicated than it actually was: snipped 4 wires and insulated the ends.
It looked like they were attached on 2 places, but this was just tape.
The big wire with 3 plugs on it was not associated with the tracker, it looks like a hookup for a cd changer.
I’ve also reconnected the red plug on the CCU, with no ill effects. No idea why it was disconnected. I had to remove the CCU to do this..
Apart from that, I have bought some second hand centre caps. Not cheap, but hard to find.
Remote key fobs still not working.
Heater blower still not working.
